Good deal???
I've emailed about 20 dealers or so and this is my best quote so far.
2013 Honda CRV EX 2WD
Car Price = $22,917 (includes $830 destination fee)
Doc fee = $499
Tax = $300
Title = $168
Comes with no extras, but they said "car mats won't come between me selling you a car"
I'm located in South Carolina
Thoughts???
Just bought a 2013 CR-V EX-L for $27,200 in NH. But now I have to go to the town and pay another $500 in taxes.
Didn't get any of the optional stuff they try to sell you when you close the deal.
2013 EX-L AWD
No Nav or RES
$27000 (agreed-upon price, includes dest)
+2362 (8.75% tax)
+320 (title)
+80 (doc fee)
-500 (flex cash for using their financing)
= $29,262 OTD
Purchased from David Flores at SF Honda, great guy to work with. Negotiated the price over the phone, and he honored the price when I walked in, no fuss. Great overall buying experience with David and the team at SF.
Note that I called 15 different dealers to get this aggressive pricing. I had several dealers telling me that they couldn't even come close to that figure, and even had one almost flat out call me a liar trying to use a random number to aid in negotiations. If you can get anything below $29,5 OTD for an EXL AWD in CA right now, you're doing exceptionally well. Almost all dealers were quoting over $30 OTD, and the highest was $32 (what a joke).
FWIW, I have found SF and Oakland Honda to have the most aggressive pricing in my last few years of helping my family buy Honda vehicles.
2013 Honda CRV EX 2WD w/o NAV - Alabaster Silver / Black Interior
Purchased from a Charlotte, NC Dealership on 11/30/2012
Car Price = $22,091 (includes $830 destination fee)

Tag/Title = $73 ($33 License/Tag $40 Title Fees)
Option= $699 (Pro Pack - All Season Mats, Cargo Tray, Splash Guards)
Grand Total = $24, 900.58 OTD
PLUS, although this was listed on the dealership installed option sheet, I didn't pay for it.
Painted Pin Stripe = FREE
Window Tint = FREE
Nitrogen = FREE
I feel like I got a pretty good deal.
