    CRV EX-L 2012 new headlights

Decided I need new (better) headlights for my '12 EXL, but I have a couple of questions:

Do I need different bulbs for low and high beams or does on cover both ?

Found Sylvania Ultra bulbs 9003/HB2, I believe these are the ones, about$30 a pair.

    How do I install ?

    Thanks,

    TK

What about replacing them with (technically illegal) 130w/90w or 110w/100w bulbs? I've heard you may need to change the wiring and relay, but I'm not sure if that's necessary or just a precaution. Anyone know?

    overwattage bulbs are dangerous.

the heat will damage the plastic lenses and cook your wiring harness.

a relay will do nothing about the heat issues.

I still need instructions on how to install the new bulbs, probably simple, but I still need some help.
    Thanks,

    TK

Depending on the price, I am interested. Let us know how it goes.

Very simple compared to other cars I've owned.
Pop off the round rubber cover from the back of the headlight assembly (do not loose the rubber cover).
Unplug the wire harness from the back of the bulb (the wires have a socket on the end that plugs onto the end of the bulb).
Twist the old bulb anti-clockwise and it will come out.
Install new bulb by lining it up like the old bulb and push and twist clockwise (do not touch the glass of the new bulb).
Reinstall the wire harness and tuck the wires in to allow the rubber cover to back on.

If you do touch the glass of the new bulb, wipe with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Grease, sweat, dirt from your fingers will reduce the life of your new bulbs.

That's kinda what I've heard. But there's a guy here on this Forum who says he uses 130/90's and has no problem.

What exactly are "euro spec lights w/ LEDs"? Are they xenons? Is it a change of the entire headlight assembly? And rough ballpark idea on the cost?
