A/C not working 2002 CRV UK

AC 's not working, thought it was just low pressure so when fitting gauge to low pressure side found pressure was in fact higher than normal.

    2002 2.0L UK manual car

    So far have found following,

Both fans are not coming on when AC is switched on

Fuses all check out ok and none were blown, 1 and 4 in engine bay and 14 inside

All relays work when put into horn relay position, both radiator and condenser relays plus compressor clutch relay

All relay sockets show battery voltage at postion 3 and at 1

When jumper used between 1 and 2 fans do not come on and cannot hear a click from clutch

Compressor and both fans spin freely when turned by hand

Any suggestions for what else to check.

I would love to hear what the fix was to your problem.

Have the same with my 2005 TDi.
Both relays work OK. Fans come on but Compressor's clutch does not engage.

Bridged the relay out on both relay sockets, fans on compressor not on.

Traced the wire to the plug on the compressor, get 12Volts.

    Maybe the clutch solonid??

The only problem with my car is that I cannot get to the compressor without either removing the bumper/rads etc..... Or removing part of the subframe!!

Messing about with the relays caused a flashing Glowplug light, managed to clear it down by ordering a lead from Ebay - ELM327 + Software. Only cost 19 delivered. Works on my other car as well, well worth the money!

Please let me know if you get any joy with yours.
    Kind regards,
    Jim.

Just had this problem. I checked the fuses and they were all OK. Honda ended up replacing a part "Transistor, Power" for $150 plus labor. Everything is well again.

My blower fan is working at all speeds, its the condensor and rad fans that are not working.

Today looked at the condensor fan, the feed plug was live and had good routing to earth so the fan motor is suspect, will try a direct feed tomorrow to confirm and also check rad fan feed plug in same way.

Condenser fan motor is dud, confirmed feed and good earth to Rad fan so next need to do direct feed to that motor, access to compressor clutch is difficult but need to check that too.

Plugged an old Audi rad fan in place of both fans individually, it came on both times when AC was turned on. New fans are on order, no route from relay to earth on the compressor so the temp protector is stuck open or the clutch coil is faulty. New fans are on order, when I fit them the rad will need to come out which will allow me to get to the compressor, have a new temp protector switch already if it is that, only 2 off ebay.
