2008 CTDi EX, Doors Dont Lock with Remote

Hi All,
Got a problem with my Door Locks, when i get out the car and go to lock it with the key remote it does not respond, its not the battery and does the same with the other remote, if i wait 5 minuits then it will work, then when its working it will lock and unlock as often as you like, untill you put the key in the ignition then take it out and go to lock the car again and nothing, it does lock with the key and when its working it works well.
Any Ideas Please.

No Not Yet, Suppose i´ll Have To Pay Honda to Try and Solve it..

Sounds like a door actuator issue. This is a common failure on the first and second generation CRV.

A sticking door button (lower part of door jam) or one that needs shimming can cause that problem.
If it happens when only the drivers' door is opened, then it would point to that door sensor button.
It is pretty easy to check. Just manually push the button in etc. If a door sensor button isn't totally depressed, the remote lock will not work on any of the doors.

Tried the door button works fine when its all working, but if i put the key in the ignition then take it out again it all stops working for another 5 minuits, not sure about the actuator, it just wont lock with the remote when you take the key out the ignition and go to lock the door, just as well it works with the key, its like its got a delay..

took mine in to honda. they said it was a faulty microswitch in the door latch & replaced it under warranty (had the car 2 months). don't know if thats the same as above - if it happens again i'll try pushing the door.

thanks, mbarryt mine is 4 years old now but at least i know what to tell them to try at the garage.

not solved! it did it again & they changed the driver door switch. ok for a week. now won't lock with keyfob. any clues?

Sorry not been to the garage yet thought id wait till it goes for service, sounds like your keyfob may need resetting think it tells you how in the manual
