It was a Stanley. It does not appear to have a model number on it. It is yellow, labelled on the box 300amp Battery Jump-Starter, 600 peak amps. I looked on Amazon..they have several by Stanley, including this yellow one..which they sell for around $50.00 plus shipping. The regular price at Sam's is about $40..but like I say they had a bunch marked down.

I borrowed my neighbors battery charger. It seems no matter how much I drive I could not get the battery in the car to charge itself up beyone 12.36volts, which is actually about only 60% of capacity. For some reason, like I said the dealer was useless, it is not recharging itself to full capacity. So I put neighbors charger on the battery today. After about 40 minutes it was charged fully to 12.79volts. Now I will wait a couple of days and see if it holds that charge or not. IF it does, then that might be what you could do, get it fully recharged and start again. BUT if it does not, I was at Sam's Club, they sell a 3 yr DURACELL Car Battery, (the CRV size is R51), 750 amps, for only $66 installed...would be the best way to go if this one won't hold its charge.

But for some reason it is not fully charging while driving, and that shouldn't have anything to do with the size of the battery ... just how many amps are left over from charge rate vs. drain. Headlights are in manual. My wife says that she never uses the auto feature.

I think that I will give the dealer one more shot at it ... and if that doesn't work, I'll do what rickhow suggested and buy a larger aftermarket battery.

Sounds like a good idea. With winter approaching, the last thing you want to do is get stranded with a dead battery. My Accord did it to me a few years ago. With all of the technology on these cars you would think that their would be some kind of battery warning.

Umm, them not covering a new battery under warranty is pure BS. I've been stranded 3 times now in mine (2012 with 89xx miles). First time, hubs blamed me for listening to the radio alone on my lunch and charged it. 2nd time (less than a week later, at about 65xx miles, after a HUGE fight that it indeed was NOT "operator error"), she was in the dealership and diagnosed with a bad ground (covered under warranty). 3rd time (yesterday, hence all of my battery-related posts), she went to the dealer this morning, and was told it was a bad battery, which was replaced under warranty.
