2012 CR-V Muffler Paint?

I was doing some work on my 2012 CR-V and I noticed that the black paint on the muffler is flaking off in a few areas. Quite frankly, I've never had any of my cars do that before. Do you think it's worth bringing to the attention of my dealer or am I better off simply touching it up myself with something like this?

scrape it and use some high temp paint, you will do a better job because you care

If you take it to the dealer you will end up sitting in the lounge drinking bad coffee and reading last weeks news paper while they scrape off the loose paint with a wire brush and shoot a coat of tremclad on it.

Chances are you will have to take it back due to the over spray that covered everything close to the muffler.

Bottom line is they wont replace the muffler. The only reason they paint them at the factory is so the muffler doesnt stick out like a sore thumb when you look at it from behind.

Okay, I just finished repainting the muffler on my 2012 CR-V. Boy, I really love working on new stuff. Makes me happy that I spent so much money (can you feel the sarcasm?).
