All suggestions about pulling the fuse out works. I have tried it on my CRV 2008. But few things you want to note is having DRL on car helps to get few dollars of your Insurance premium. In case (I pray to god that would not happen) you run into accident and it is found that you did not have DRL running, Insurance company may hold onto it and reject your claim. So be careful about it. If you go to dealer asking them to switch off the DRL, they would not do that as legally they cannot.
