The "Service Bolt" is actually turned down in the center to allow the strut to move. They allow +/- 0.4 degrees, each. You can get 0.8 by using two in the same strut. I suggest using only one per side unless a second is really necessary because it is a real pain to adjust them because you have to remove the wheel to adjust them. Unless you have an adapter to you can use the alignment machine with the wheel off.

After messing with mine a lot, and reading many other posts, I have concluded in the front you want as close to zero Camber as possible but not any positive, and in the rear, near but not less than - 0.5.

    Good luck.

The new design RAV4 has plenty of improvements over the last generation and would be my choice over a CR-V now.

I'm the OP here. Traded in the CRV today for a 2013 VW Jetta TDI. We owned the CRV for only 22 weeks. Never traded a car in so soon in my life, but I did it for the reasons outlined in the original post. Got a generous trade-in on the CRV so we didn't take an unreasonable hit, and got a rock bottom price on the Jetta. Plus, VW has a few incentives going on which knocked the price down even further.

I enjoyed the brief time I was here. Thank you everyone.

Same here.Women really love the CR-V.She loved the '11 she had.It was my idea to get a '13.
The '13 is so much better than the last generation.
Ok,except for the lockout on the NAV.
The OP's head would explode if he had a last generation model.

I prefer the new RAV4 but got a great trade in number and decent discount off list. The RAV4 is too new now.No big discounting and incentives.Plus the trade in number was much less.
    Wife likes the CR-V anyway.

Well actually, my wife's a woman, and while she's not car-savvy like I am, she happened to agree with the majority of my Top 10 list. She would always say, "From the first day we had this car, it never felt like a new car. It felt like a 5 yr old car."

No offence but it sounds like you didn't do your research before jumping in and purchasing the CRV. A test drive and a little research online would have gone a long way. I've had my 05 CRV AWD LX since new (now has 110000km) and you're right it's not fast, never going to get 30mpg (I avg 22mpg 80% city), doesn't handle like an Accord (no kidding, it sits ~8" higher off the ground!) but you're leaving out reliability (nothing has broke on mine since new), great winter handling (you can appreciate that being from NY) and high resale value as you noticed when you traded yours in. Good luck with the Jetta. The TDi is a great engine but the rest of the car...good luck with that.

Well your wife is very much in the minority. It's the top selling cute ute.
I drive it at times and I'm not a big fan of it but it's her vehicle and very reliable.
What did your wife drive before the CR-V?

We have a 2013 EXL with Nav. We did own a 2007 CRV EX and a 2010 Odyssey EXL. We traded the 2007 CRV because my wife did not care for the seating comfort in the 2007 CRV.

The 2013 ECR is light years ahead of the 2007 CRV in passenger comfort. I really like the CRV as a small SUV. I do not share the OP's opinion of the 2013 CRV. No it is not a BMW or a Lexus but I feel it is a very comfortable and safe small SUV. We have averaged 29 mpg for the first 1000 miles of driving (mixture of city and highway).

HondaMann99, have you been able to come close to EPA mpg on other cars that have been driven primarily by your wife? Your reported mpg seems very low unless you live in a hilly area. You said you miles were about 70% highway at 70mph. Your driving mix of highway and city appear to close to mine but our mpg sure don't match. Hopefully you'll get better service from the VW.

One thing that catches my attention on this forum is the relatively small amount of problems reported by owners of the CRV's in general. Automotive forums typically have a much larger population of significant problems reported. I am looking forward to a long and happy relationship with our CRV.
