Climate Control Dual Light Flashing

the climate control dual switch light has been flashing for a while, it happened after a big temp drop. this may be the reason it screwed up or may be not, everything works as it should, you prress the dual switch and it responds to individual settings, you press again and one switch controls both. exactly as it should. it's that the light will not stop flashing and it is so annoying and I would like it to work properly.no-one seems to have a fix. so is it a case of lining Honda's coffers with more hard earned and taking it to a dealer

Put a piece of black tape over that light until you get a proper solution.

Does it flash at a constant rate? Or is it random flickering?

Hi i had the same problem i found this on the internet and it worked no more flashing light

I got it sorted by running the self-diag test for the clim.

The self-diag procedure for the 2007-2012 model ... should be something like that:
1. Turn the ignition key/switch OFF.
2. Press and hold the climate control OFF button and turn the ignition switch ON (II).
3. While still holding the OFF button, press the (DEFROST this is the rear heater and the wing mirror button) button 5 times in less than 10 seconds
4. Release both the OFF and DEFROST buttons ... then the auto-diag will start

If there's an issue, the test will end up with "88 Auto" blinking.

Otherwise, you switch the ignition back to OFF and ON again to see if the DUAL is still blinking.

Gentlemen, I had the same problem. I read your instruction manual and I thought I'd try, rather than go in for service. In five minutes it was over flashing and everything works. Hat down and thank you! Jan from Prague
