05 Power Steering Leak. please HELP

    Hi guys,

I have an annoying Power Steering Leak that wont go away. Well i have an 05 CRV 4WD. The Leak is coming from the power steering return hose, right above the passenger front axel boot. its leaking where the hose connects to the line. i have already replaced the hose and the clamp. i tightened up the clamp pretty tight but its still leaking ! Ive even put two clamps and still leaked ! Any suggestions/help that would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

What type of clamp are you using and how tight was the hose over nipple fit? I gather it is leaking between the nipple outer diameter and the hose inner diameter. ie; wrong clamp, clamp not tight, or hose inner diameter to big. Was the line end flared (like a tulip)?

The Clamp and hose is OEM . and the line has a i guess a small bulge.

Well that small bump is probably what seals the hose connection. The clamps are supposed to be on the opposite side of that bump from where the hose connects.
Clean that area well and then start the CRV for a short time and see if you can spot exactly where the leak is starting. Perhaps it is the metal tube itself.
