Hello everyone, I'm new here. I have a question about my 2009 V. How do you turn off the daytime running lights?
Turn off the ignition?
Sorry, couldn't resist. Let me be the first to ask the obvious. Why?
Pull fuse number 37 from the interior fuse panel.Originally Posted by bluesview
Double check your Owner's Manual to be sure the fuses are numbered the same.(I checked, they are the same)
It's one of the first things I did on my 2008 as well.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to disable a safety feature?

This is what I read on another Honda forum. Most likely a younger person.

I'm not convinced they are much of a safety feature and why waste the electricity and light bulbs.

The police do have a rather dampening effect on amatory ardor. As such this is a most reasonable explanation for the disabling of a safety feature. However as tcturner noted simply: 1) engage the parking brake, 2) stop the engine, 3) restart the engine 4) crack a window and voila amatory bliss. It's now illegal to operate a motor vehicle in Nova Scotia without lights (daytime or pull that switch). This may be a first.
My '98 V is at 253,000 Km as/of Jan. 1, 2010
