Angry 2007 CRV timing chain broken

My car has 61000 km, it was in the service, I drove it out and after 1,5 km it stopped. The timing chain was broken. I feel confused, how it's possible. Has anybody else similar problem?????

If something breaks immediately after a service, logically, it's most likely a result of the service. What did you have serviced??? Did you have the valves adjusted? They might have reassembled soething wrong.

Having the timing chain fail 1.5km after it's been serviced, seems unlikely to be a coincidence.

    Thumbs down

Gotta love "Trolls" who come along with 1 post and are never to be heard of again.

CapBJ, why do you think a dealership would want to take care of a vehicle out of warranty, and way out of mileage.

CapBJ, the first op: Aimo Airaksinen, complained about a problem that would have been fixed under warranty and was never heard from again. That's a Troll.

Your request is even "more ridiculous" thinking any dealership would fix a problem that is "3 years" out of warranty and double the warranty mileage.

    What do you expect????

I know I'd be disappointed if I were in your shoes too CapBJ, and fully agree with you that it shouldn't go at that low of kilometres. It just isn't like Honda.

But a warranty is a warranty, you can't expect the dealership to swallow the job. Maybe you should take it up with Honda Canada (or were ever your from) and see what they say, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

But who knows, maybe they'll be sympathetic and meet you half way or something, but again, don't expect the dealership to offer this.

    Isn't the warranty 60,000 kl/3 years CapBJ???

P.S. You are officially no longer a Troll, as you are past the 1 post mark, unlike the original poster. Welcome to the club.
