I just finished installing the tailgate spoiler on my 2012. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but the proper tools made the difference. The hardest part was convincing myself to drill three holes in a perfectly good tailgate. A few tips if you decide to try this yourself:
1. Don't deviate from the Honda instructions, they are very easy to follow.
2. Watch the DIY video on the College Hills Honda website. Then watch it again. It really helped to bring the instructions to life.
3. Take your time. I did this over two days, but I also have the luxury of a two-car garage.
4. When bolting the spoiler to the car, use a torque wrench. I'm convinced you will ruin the the jacknuts if you overtighten them.
You will need a low-range torque wrench since the specs call for 7.5 N-M/5.5 ft-lbs. I borrowed one from my mechanic since mine doesn't go below 10 ft-lbs.
