2012 oil access door won't open

This is crazy! I am trying to open the access door to get at my oil filter and drain opening. The four plastic access door bolts do not loosen!! I lubed them, they seem to turn slightly with my phillips screwdriver but won't come loose. I am using enough force to all but ruin the plastic screw heads? Is there some trick? thx.

I would pry each of the corner down while you are trying to unscrew that section.

This is where I got the photo from.

Or try to take pliers and pull down while unscrewing.

Only a guess on my part, but is it possible the "bolts" are like Dzus fasteners -- i.e., a half-turn counterclockwise to unfasten while you pull down gently on the cover? I ask because the picture shows indented spaces in the floor pan adjacent to the bolt/screw fittings on the cover.

Someone posted this comment in that blog post:

"Those 4 screw cover are hard to take off. I have to use a short screwdriver for max strength."

So it does look like they come out.
