    I am not sure "firing it up weekly" is such a good idea. It might be better to start it up once a month and let it come up to full operating temperature to drive out moisture. If you fire it up every week and let it come up to full operating temperature, that's a lot of idling.

    ^^ That's why I recommend DRIVING for at least 45 - 60 minutes. Idling takes a lot longer to build up heat in the drivetrain and purge moisture.

    ^^^ Sorry, no problem, just meant to build on what you said...IE, the car needs to be DRIVEN (not just started and idled) for the best result.

    I agree that where possible, driving is much better than idling. It takes a lot of idling to warm up the car enough to drive out moisture.
