It seems to me that the multi-display models in the upper tier CRVs are the same as the Carplay equipped models. If so, is it likely that these will eventually be updated to compatibility with Apple's CarPlay?
Thanks,

Honda has never ever allowed the Radio to be upgraded - 2016 Pilot owners have the same gripe.

Just because it's on the Internet doesn't mean it's true.

While at my local Honda dealership Friday they were playing one commercial showing off Car Play in a '16 Accord.

The 2016 Accord does have CarPlay and Android Audio - as does the new Ridgeline. Pilots and CR-V's do not yet.

I check the Carplay discussion on civic forums, there seem to be a lot of bugs and complains. I don't think Honda CRV gonna get it anytime soon.

Hyundai is rolling out update for Android auto and car play
Do hope Honda takes notice. I never considered a Hyundai, but may be next time I will

I will not bet on it that Honda will upgrade older cars, very sad indeed
