    Hi Michael -
I think if you search around the forum a little bit you should find all the info you need. We can help you better if you let us know what exactly you have questions about. What exactly do you want to know?

to keep the factory radio you would need to get something JL audio clean sweep

if you just wanted to add a sub and sub amp you will be ok with out this but to add and change door speakers this is the best out there not very cheep but you get what you pay for

Change my plan i will go with a full replacement of the head unit i'm going to reuse my investment that i had in my civic i'm going to get the fascia from Metra also i will re-route all the wires for the speakers (i dont want to splice the existing wires) from the amplifier the only thing that i will replace is the receiver that i add KDC-X794 and replace with a Kenwood KDC-X996 with bluetooth.
It will be shame of not using what i invested the quality of sound was incredible in my civic EX-L 2010.
If some are interested to buy my Kenwood KDC-X794 receiver its only one year old

I was interested in doing this too but did not want to lose all of the features connected to the head unit (backup camera, usb, aux, bluetooth, steering wheel controller). Do you know if there are any options to still use the little screen. I have a EX so i don't know if the EX-L even has the little screen above the radio.

you definitely don't have to use a cleanSweep if your car doesn't have the factory amp.

you can use an SNI-35 line out converter for every two speakers that you are wanting to amplify.
