IS the volume all the way up on the Ipod? Turn it all the way up, hit play on the Ipod, and then you should hear music come out the radio. Plug the Ipod into the other end and it will work. There should be no FM transmitting if you're using an AUX cable in-between the two.
I just got my '09 EX-L also and have only tried this once. After I plugged in the I-pod and powered it on the stereo automatically switched to AUX. I'm assuming I had the volume on the Ipod to whatever level I was listening to prior to plugging it in.
Can someone please direct me as to what type of cable to buy, and where to buy it...from Canada
my HU came with the aux cable, id rather have an Iplug, or what ever i need to allow my HU to control my ipod

And the next question would be how about sound quality, and volume. On my old vehicle I had the old adapter that plugged into the lighter outet. The sound was good, but didn't function as good as the audio from a CD. Any word on the quality of audio with the aux jack from an i-pod?
with out a very very good sound system you most likely wont be able to tell any difference between original CD and ipod versions of the songs
