    2000 CR-V dashboard clock removal

I own a 2000 CRV which has just under 89,000 miles on it. I purchased it new in the spring of 2000.

For about the last six months the digital display on the dashboard clock has been going on and off periodically. When the display comes on after a week or two of being dark, the time is always correct.

I want to remove the clock and see if I can find a loose wire, a cracked circuit board, or maybe just replace it altogather.

It looks like it should simply be pryed out, but that appearance may be an unintentional trap.

What is the proper method to remove the clock?

    Thanks!

    common problem

this is a very common problem-its needs to be re-soldered, took me a couple minutes to do mine-as for pulling it-I did it carefully with a flathead screwdriver around the trim and it pops out-be carefull not to break any clips.
