Has anyone installed side molding on a 2012 CRV? If so, what's involved? How difficult was it? Would you do it again?
Thanks

This is the easiest task you will do on your CRV. Follow Installation Instructions
Nice video from college Hill Honda.

Not difficult at all. It's important to follow the "lines on the car" for proper alignment. Looks nice. If you purchase the original Honda moldings a template is included making the installation nearly foolproof. You can buy the ones from "Sportwings" which are a little cheaper but I went with the Honda ones on this car.
http://www.sportwing.com/honda-cr-v-...e-molding.aspx $124
http://www.collegehillshonda.com/hon...ccessories.htm $162 (this one has a nice pic of the actual moldings on your car) The cargo tray is well worth the money to keep things clean in the back area
http://www.handa-accessories.com/crv12.html cheapest splash guards $63.80 (use this as a price match at your dealer)

I have done the install on (2) 2012 CR-Vs. This is an easy install with the College Hills Honda video and the templates that come with the moldings.
Awesome. I feel a little more confident about doing it myself now.
I did install my sister CRV 2012. It's super easy, and nice.
Okay, so I have an interesting problem. I made the mistake of detailing my car with Zaino Brothers products before I purchased the Honda side molding kit. When I went to install it this afternoon the tape on the template wouldn't stick to the car. I'm assuming it's because I polished it.
So how do I remove the polish without damaging the car? The kit came with some alcohol wipes, but that's just for where the body side moldings mount to the car, not the template.
Get some 3M general adhesive remover. It comes in a qt. can. Don't get the spray. Apply it to a white cotton rag and wipe down the surface. Don't use a colored rag to apply. Works really great. Won't damage the paint. Once you are done be sure to apply wax again. You can purchase it a any local auto parts store. They all carry it.
I just did this on my 2012 about a month ago. I LOVE THEM!! The entire process took about 30 minutes. I did NOT use the original Honda one's and I have seen them on a couple of cars and I just found them to be a little to large for my liking. I bought some on ebay from a company in Penn., they are a little narrower. They came with complete instructions which and everything required...they had some alcohol swabs to wipe down the area, then you measured up from the black rocker panel and made a couple of marks. You pulled off about 6 inches of the 3m tape, pushed on car, leveled mlgd to your marks and pulled off the rest of the tape. Now when I see a CRV w/o any mldgs I think they are lacking and just CRV's, like mine, with the mldgs. They cost me $112.00 tax and shipping included.
