1st Gen CRV with RSX 16 in rims tire pressure question

like the title says 2001 CRV ex with RSX rims what pressure should i run the tires at the wheels came with 40lbs psi but i dropped it to 32lbs psi. TIA

.... really? Harms the interior? Bah. Here's the reason to not over-inflate.

You I'd be more concerned with the fact over-inflating will cause the center of the tire to wear a lot faster than the rest and lead to a cupped tire.

The way to figure the best psi is take the tires max load rating and divide it by the tires max psi. Then find the axle weight of your car (front and rear). Since there are two tires per axle, divide that number by 2 so you have the weight for just one tire on that axle.. then divide that number by the first number you came up with (tires max load/ max psi) and that will give you about the psi you should be running.

You should also find its between 70-85% of the tires capacity (ie if you're tire can hold a max of 80 psu but your car is lighter and only requires 38 psi from the formula above, then a tire with a lower load rating would have been a better choice)
