It will most likely mess it up since you're taking apart the headlight but not sure. I used the morimoto h1 stage III kit which comes with the morimoto mini h1 projectors, shrouds, HID kit, all the wiring and resealing glue. Shrouds, the graphite ones worked for me. They not long enough, there a gap between the oem reflector piece and the shroud but you can't see it. Will get some pictures later

Here are ones done with 2012.. I ordered my FXR v3.0 Completely kit from TRS.. just wondering if I should DIY or send it to professional. I already retrofitted my Scion tC with TSX projectors.

CyC, If you feel confident doing it, then you should. Youll save up alot of $$$. Reading on HID Planet there were headlights that were done by professionals and still werent aligned properly.
Anyways heres mine! They were not loose, fit real snug and well. Kit has an H4 adapter plate included. I guess the one on forum was for the older version. The whole chrome reflector piece was moving alittle I guess its loose like that for adjustments (Duh.. )

....... They are not as bright as the pictures show it. There is alot of improvement tho, Im satisfied with them.

Nice Job! is it just me or there no shroud or is it very tiny?

and yes, I wanna do it myself but my Scion tC it was very easy as it was nearly PnP. Just drilling new screw mounts. With CRV I would need to do JnC method and kinda noob when it comes to that. I would prefer to get extra set of headlights to spend time to do it correctly (not leaving CRV MIA) but at that cost, might as well have Pro do it.

Daniel08crv: thanks for sharing! If i end up getting these too, I'm definitely going to try the MC-R shrouds to try and fill in the reflector bowl more.

CyC: you can always resell the extra set of headlights after your retro's are done.

    Great thread!

I just placed an order for the bi-xenon Morimoto mini d2s kit (TRS) but chose the Apollo shrouds. Looking forward to the install this weekend!

Fellow member PhilR had his CRV retrofitted with FX-R projectors and Apollo shrouds, hopefully they look the same/similar when I install with the Morimoto projectors.
