BI-XENON MORIMOTO Mini D2s projector kit help

Hey guys Im interested in buying this kit for the retro fit source. All i read so far is great comments and reviews. They are highly recommended.
No cut alternative for HID retrofitting
The above link says that they are just plug and play and screw on our H4 housing. Anyone can double that? Has anyone else done it? Please let me know.
The whole kit with the HID kit included is around $300 if anyone wondered.

If you have to open the headlights, may as well step up to the FXR 3.0

I'm installing TL projectors in mines

The H1's are better than the D2S when it comes to the output.
do a little searching on hidplanet.com and you'll see for yourself.
the Morimoto's should be pretty plug and play, but i don't have first hand experience. the FXR's or TL projectors definitely aren't a plug and play type of thing. You'll have to do a lot more modifications to make it work.

Vanz I dont have any experience in retrofiting. Ive watched videos but they all have something different.
Cruatchi thanks for your input. Main reason Im looking at the D2S is they have hi and low beam and Id like to keep that. But Ill look and if its true the H1 is beter output then i might consider it. My question is, if they are plug and play, how would i be able to adjust them up and down? and also. color wise, is 5000k gonna have any bluish tint? I have 6000k HID kit in the halogen housing and they are pretty good but I heard in the projector they get more bluish

The new morimoto H1's are bixenon. I dunno how it actually works, but that's what TRS advertises. I noticed that you found the other thread about morimoto's and even the thread starter there said that they're bixenon and H1's are better than D2S in terms of output. To adjust them up and down, you'd use the same mechanisms as you do now. 5000K should be pretty close to pure white. the colour is usually all in the cutoff. I strongly encourage you to take a peek around HIDplanet because there is a wealth of information on there.

Yea I noticed after reading more on HID planet. They are BiXenons. I bought the H1's full kit. Was $295 shipped. But I read some stuff they dont fit good in the H4 housing. After I ordered it.. They are loose. So Now i dont know what to get to make sure they wont be loose.

So have the morimoto's arrived yet? You should make a DIY guide cuz there isn't one for CR-V's specifically yet........

They're coming tomorrow. But goin up to the mountain Thursday with the CRV so I can't start on anything. Just removed my old HID kit out. I'll try to get something together within few weeks when I have time but I'm very excited to install them

done the retrofit. Nothing too dificult. Was my first time, had my cousin help out on some things. Took bumper off, headlights off, removed all metals pieces (except the vertical adjuster) off the headlight. Unscrew the 3 screws, take all the bulbs out. Preheat (PREHEAT!) oven to 225 degrees. Out a cookie plate or something big so it wont touch the racks inside the oven. Dont want accidents and melted plastics. Turn off the oven, insert the headlight in it and leave it there for 30 minutes, I took one out at 25 minutes and it was harder to open. Left the other one for 30 minutes and it came apart like butter. Make sure as you open the headlights you unclip the clips as you go.Slowly work your way around and open the headlight. Oh also forgot to mention, I started at the corner with the turn signal.
After its open, we tried to remove some of the glue thats in there, but it was like impossible so we just left it. Fun about to begin!
You need to remove the Halogen reflector magigabob thingy. Its held by a screw mounted to the bigger chrome piece. What you need to do is release 2 clips and kinda tilt the big chrome piece so you have access to that screw. Dont try to completely remove it, just takes alot of time. Its held by 3 plastic clips, 1 harder to reach. I used a flat screw driver and pushed one side in. After you took that off, put it aside. I saved mine, just in case. Make sure the projector is clean, then insert the bigger silicone piece on it. Remove the bulb holder piece from back of it (3 screws). Dont loose 2 or more screws, they only give 1 extra .
Remove the lock nut. Guide the wires thru the hole, then insert the projector. Wires should be on the bottom. On the back side, insert the H4 adapter plate then the lock washer. They are sloted so no way to fit wrong. Tighten the crap out of the lock washer piece. Put back the bulb holder in the 3 screws and the bulb inside it. Again it goes in one way. Next you wanna test and make sure they are aligned horizontally. I mounted them on 3 screws back on the car and had the HID kit ready. After its done make sure again its tight. Remove the bulb.
I bought the sealent stuff from TRS too. Cut like 4" pieces and stretch them out. You dont need alot. Insert it where the old glue in in a thin layer. Clean your lense again. . PREHEAT oven to 225 degrees F. Put the lense on the headlight, dont try to put it together yet, I done it it, waste of time. Slide it in oven again, turn oven OFFa and set timer to 25 minutes. After its done, take it out, and blame the thing for being so hot!.Start at a corner again and start pushing it together. Stuff gets cold quick so work quick but make sure they slide in place. Insert bulb in. Put the black sleve over the wires. Hook up all the bulbs again such as parking and turn signals. then Mount the headlight back on the car. Do the next headlights, same process. I kinda did both at same time to save time cuz it was cold in the garage. Hook them up and see how they line up again. Put bumper back on and radiator cover and boom! DONE! Easy!
If you have any questions feel free to ask. I might do a more in depth Version but I didnt take any pictures, it was too cold for that.
