Found Some 3rd Gen CRV Roof Rails (not racks)

Hi I'm a new CRV owner and for some reason I don't like the look of the 3rd gen roof racks and as most of you are probably aware, there aren't many roof rail options.

Does anyone here have roof rails for their 3rd gen? If so please share your thoughts, opinions, pictures and source as I am trying to find a good set. To be completely honest, I don't have much of a need for roof-top storage, I just like the way rails look on SUVs

Both sets I found are $150 on eBay

The first one is a roof rack + rail combination

The second set are strictly rails.

I like the first setup, but wonder what the load weight is. Anyone know?

I really like the look of that second one.

I, like you, don't like the look of the OEM roof rack.

    Thanks for finding these.

I had the factory oem roof rails fitted because like you I like the look of rails, these look nicer I wish I had looked around first to see what was available.

First set looks great but I'd want to see a better close up of how the cross bars attach to the rails as that's a critical load bearing piece.

It would be really nice to be able to push the cross bars to the back when not being used to reduce the noise through the sunroof.

I like the second ones, because I think they look better.

If, and when, I get a set of these it will only be for looks. I love the look of roof rails but I will never use them.

I really like the second set also, and as radtech91 said, I would only want them for looks and not function. I checked ebay and didn't see anything like them, and the 028auto.cn website on the pics is in chinese.

If anyone knows where to find a set of these in the States, please pass along a link.

    Thanks!

    Question

How about this set? I don't think it's the same with either the 1st set or the 2nd set, see:

Does anyone know whether these roof "rails" create extra wind noises? Also how do you actually use these "rails" to carry, say, ski? Thanks!

    Got a set!

I finally found these on EBay. They arrived yesterday. I like the looks of them but they did not come with any installation instructions. I emailed the seller, we'll see what happens!

My guess is that it would be similar to this installation video:

I'm thinking of buying another different set of roof "rails", see:

    But would like to know:
    • The quality of this specific roof rail
    • Whether the silver color can match with Honda's chrome edges, and
    • How I can put my ski on this roof "rail".. (do I need to order cross-bars seperately or??)

If anyone own this set of roof rail, please help, thanks!
