What brand of hitch to buy?

Ok- so I have done some searching and have not been able to find an answer other than someone stating the OEM. I have a 2012 Ex and currently have mo intentions of pulling a trailer or anything but I am going with a 2" just in case. We will be using the hitch for a bike rack and a hitch mounted tray. I will be doing the install myself so I will need it to be direct bolt on (I know cutting is involved and that is fine.) There are several racks out their. What should I get?

I ordered this one yesterday. I'll wait for a warmer day to install it.

I was not able to view the http://www.amazon.com/Curt-13119-Cla...ype=automotive link- Got the "oops" page- I was thinking about the same hitch. The OEM one has more attachment points, 7 I think, but I will not be doing much, it any towing. I will be using it for bike and a cargo tray. How much cutting is there involved with the under plastics?

This link worked for me, just now. Only one left. There are ten reviews, 9 five star. One guy downgraded it because it would not fit his 2011 CR-V, DUH! It is listed to fit a 2012. I too will be using it for bike rack and a cargo tray and did not order any wiring. You will need a hitch pin, but you can buy that at WalMart, nothing special. There are Youtube videos for the installation of this part. Looks pretty simple to install. The plastic looks like it won't be too hard to cut. One video shows in being cut with a razor knife. There is also instructions for the genuine Honda hitch that you can download from the net, might be helpful.

Got the same curt hitch 13119 from amazon last week for $ 137 incl. shipping. did the install myself with the help of youtube (e-trailer instructions). fairly easy to do. took me 1.5 hrs. because i have little wiggle room in my garage. very solid build and saved a lot (cap-it sells is for CDN$ 290).

Thanks guys- I will be ordering mine in the next few days. Waiting for my gift card to arrive. Did anyone also get the light wiring kit? I am thinking about it so I can use a small trailer if needed or put small light on the cargo tray.

Anyone have any suggestions on a tray? I found one but it won't let me paste the link.

I am looking at this one. It is raised, so as not to scrape when pulling in to driveways. I haven't bought it yet.

Is there a difference between the 2012 and 2013 CR-V's? Amazon says this fits the '12 but when I put in the '13 it says it wont fit. I thought the cars were the same but maybe there are minor underbody differences.
