    3 Months in...my only disappointment

I have a 2012 CRV EX-L AWD W/Nav. I am really happy with this car. But I was shocked yesterday to discover that there is no low washer fluid indicator on this vehicle.

I went back to the manual - it is flagged as "not available on some models". So just to make sure that nothing was frozen in the line, I went to my car and looked at the instrument panel. No washer fluid symbol. REALLY HONDA?!!! On your top of the line CRV you don't have this basic indicator?

I'm pretty diligent on maintenance. But here in the Boston area, after a snow storm, and a day of driving with lots of salt spray...you really don't want to have that unwelcome surprise of running out of washer fluid.

I guess it's shame on me for not knowing the car didn't have this. I'd be topping it off more often. That's how it's going to have to be. I also guess I'd gotten reliant on that indicator to remind me to top it off, from my last vehicle(s).

I'm am amazed that a 30k car would not have this.

Still love my CRV. This would not have been a deal breaker. I just didn't like being caught unprepared.

Just top off the washer fluid when you check your engine oil. That is what I do for the wife.

You have to remember that in North America, the V is a "Value" crossover.

In Europe, it is a high-end vehicle, and as such it is sold with more amenities like auto-lights, folding/heated mirrors, headlamp washers...and washer fluid level tell-tales.

Makes you wonder if the light is in the car but just not activated.

I know a guy who put the Canada-only heated outside mirrors on his Gen2 V.

My $43K Acura TL 6MT Tech doesn't have that indicator either. lol

I live in MI so we get a lot of snow, and I drive my 1G CRV all winter. I just check mine every other time I get gas and keep some in the back with some other handy winter items (jumper cables, tow straps, etc.)
