Hi to everyone on here just about to purchase my first CRV on monday a 2006 silver executive any advice what to look for before purchase would be very much appreciated hope to keep the interest and posts coming on final purchase but could do with a little help at this stage ,many thanks in advance ....

I've been looking at CRV's, what I did notice on some of the CRV's that I looked at was the brown looking rust under the bonnet on some of the engine components, I also checked underneath and noticed some were better than others with the amount of what looked like surface rust on the suspension area. I avoided one that had a brown engine head, I guess it must have been in a flood or something to get in the state it was in.

I'm ditching the 3 cylinder Scenic and picking my 2007 CRV EX this week so I hope there isn't anything to look for.
I had the dealer fit 2 new tyres and change the front brake discs and pads.
