    Honda fuel recommendations?!?

Honda owner's manual recommends using top tier detergent fuels. However, the top tier detergent fuels contain 10% ethanol. I was informed by a couple of mechanics to try and use only gasoline not containing any ethonol, stating, "fuel with ethanol can cause a lot of problems to vehicles." Also, Honda recommends to not use any fuel containing MMT. I can not find any info. regarding the retailers whose gasolines contain MMT, furthermore have found out that companies do not have to disclose that information. I have only been using FinishLine fuel in my new CRV because of the "contains no ethanol" posted on their pumps. FinishLine is not one of the retailers listed to be a top tier detergent fuel retailer?!?!? Can someone please shed some light and wisdom on this topic for me? I really want to take care of this vehicle.

Thanks for your reply Gravy. Still in the dark regarding ethanol vs. non-ethanol question and the MMT issue... Can anyone else add some info?

In the US, each state regulates the ethanol content. Here in DE, 10% is mandatory. In PA, ethanol isn't mandatory (but will be soon), but 100% is difficult to find. Click herefor more info.
