Fog lights to parking lights or ignition source

    Hi:

I have a 2011 CRV and had the fog lights installed. Is there a DIY with pics on this site showing how to wire them to the parking lights or ignition source. I want to use them as running lights. Thanks in advance John

fog light/driving lights/DRLs should always be on a separate fused circuit...especially if aftermarket. That way, they can be easily diagnose and less likely to interfere with the OEM components...think about all the issues you've heard about with aftermarket alarms because they were tied into existing OEM circuits...

A google search can yield various ways to 'hook' up a fog/driving lights circuit.

    As an example: http://www.accessconnect.com/fog_dri...hts_wiring.htm

...you'll need to know your light's power (wattage) in order to spec out the right size (electrically) fuse and relay and wire gauge.

I'd say just wire tap in a relay to one of your running lights, then run a fused positive ground to and from the lights. Pretty simple job. You cant go wrong with a relay, as long as it gets power, it clicks on.
