Does anyone make a dry high flow air filter for the 2006 CRV. I have used the K&N filter on other vehicles and they seemed to help the gas mileage; but Honda tells me not to use them on the CRV as they may mess up some of the sensors.

In my experience Honda has always been overly cautious about any kind of aftermarket bits fitted to their cars. Even to the point where they say aftermaket alloy wheels won't suit Hondas and only their own genuine alloys will fit!! What sort of BS is that.
Having said that, I have a 2001 gen 1 and have just fitted a K&N panel filter. I did quite alot of reading on the internet before taking the plunge and messing up of sensors is hardly documented to be an issue whatsoever.
I've found the throttle response more perky, seems torquier, with the K&N in place! Still monitoring fuel consumption though, to see if there is an improvement.
