We are getting a 4WD EX-L w/o Navi and I checked the tires, which were Bridgestones. Having recently become a member of this forum and noticing the negative comments about the Bridgestones I asked our salesman about it. He offered to switch the tires for Continentals for free. I don't see a negative to this and from what I read it may result in a quieter ride. What do you all think??

The Bridgestones wear faster and are noisier. I would take the dealer's offer without hesitation !

My 07 CRV EX-L without nav has the Continentals. I like the ride and have had no problems with these tires. If you are concerned about the Bridgestones I would take the salesman's offer.

I have Conti's on my '06. My sister has Dueller's on her '05. There's no difference. We've done many side by side tests on the same roads. You'll hear more complaints about the Bridgestones simply because a lot more are on CR-V's. Both, including the Dunlap's are manufactured to Honda's specification.
Do what makes you happy. But no matter what you end up with, you'll only have mediocre OEM quality tires. If tires are important to you, and you have some extra money, you could consider updating to something better right from the start.
