Has anyone around here installed a new audio system? I was given a nice box and amp today and want to install it in the CR-V since our Pilot is our family vehicle and we use our 3rd row seats quite a bit.
I've done this type of install in our, now sold, 2000 Odyssey EX but there was so much room to play around in there.
Difficult to do in the CR-V with the stock 6 disc cd/stereo?
Thanks,
DanO
i am planning to install amps, speakers and a sub in my crv too. the equipment came from my odyssey which i recently sold. i would like to keep the factory radio so i will need to use a line out converter (which i also removed from the van). i dont think there should be a problem using the factory radio since the converter will just be connected to the speaker wires. my problem is i dont know where to get an ignition wire to turn on the amps.
with the odyssey i paid to have one amp installed so i didnt have to worry about which wire on the factory harness was the accessory wire, speaker wire etc. from there i installed the other stuff like a second amp and sub. the way they connected it though was the amps would turn on when i turned the car on.
