I wanted to ask if Honda sells a 07 CR-V EX without the sun roof? I have a sales person telling me that all the 07 EX's have a sun roof.
Thanks

All EX's and EX-L's in the US have sunroofs. The LX does not. Welcome to the club.

I looked at the 07 features list and did not see that. I really do not want a sun roof. But do want other features offered in the Ex package. I am sorry to hear I do not have the choice.
Thank you for the information.

By the way Honda calls it a moon roof. I didn't want it either, but now that I have it, its not bad. You don't have to use it, and I seldom open it when driving, I find the wind noise irritating, but it is nice when I am waiting for my wife in a parking lot. It allows a lot more air in and the car stays cooler. You are aware that it has an internal sliding cover that blocks the sunlight? You can open just the sliding door and let more light into the car, or you can open the moon roof fully, or use the tilt function--just the back of the roof tillts upward. Leave the slider closed and you really don't even know it there unless you want it open. It is actually kind of nice. I didn't want the allow wheels either, till I got them.
I have heard that the sun roofs leaked in the old days but now they are supposed to be pretty good. I wouldn't let moonroof sway you into an LX or another brand if there are things you want in the EX. True, you are paying for something you don't want, but really the thing is kind of cool--and I am an old curmudgeon.

Your right. I will most likely go for the EX. I just hate to be told I have to buy something I do not want. It goes with the old man with gray hair uniform.

Do I detect the crankiness of a fellow old coot? Welcome to club! We could use a few more of the coot ilk here.
This is my first Honda and it struck me odd how they loaded the trim lines. You get volume controls on the steering wheel with EX but if want heated mirrors (which you may not find terribly useful, but are preety useful here) you have to buy leather seats. My lower than dog dirt Plymouth Voyager had them but they turn into a luxury item with Honda. You want to do something as luxurious as store the 6 CD covers you have to buy leather seats. Why is nav only available on the EX-L? You're right, Honda forces you to buy stuff you don't want. Makes the gray hair stand up on the back of your neck.

Honda used to try to keep levels pretty much the same across the board (DX, LX, EX), then they/we started added SE & L for leather N for navigation....things got crazy. Even though I work for them I still don't fully understand why they do things like they do. Granted it is a way to make more $ for them & spend less $ for them with purchasing, but....
oh well
You guys think that's bad, I had one car that had cruise, CD & AC, but no pwer windows or locks, one car that had pwr front windows but manual rear windows & another car that had power locks but no power windows or mirros

Sure makes you wonder about these marketing decisions. On Canadian '07 CR-V's, heated mirrors come on all models. LX. EX. EX-L.

The US is tropical, we don't need heated mirrors.
Does your Canadian models have those ridiculous gargantuan knee bruising door handles? If not I may drive across the border and trade the Pearl (love her as I do) for a Canadian model.

Does your Canadian models have those ridiculous gargantuan knee bruising door handles? Yes, we have them. Ugly. Useless. Huge. Gargantuan? You bet.

I didn't realize but I subconsciously developed the habit of using my knee against the huge round thing on the bottom of the handle to open the door.

Being a long time Toyota owner I found even today's Honda's simplified trim levels interesting. Ever shopped for something like a Camry lately? The option choices are dizzying. But then some people like that.

HAHA
Too many options confuse me
Trucks are even worse; 6 different engines, 4 different drive trains, 8 different colors, 3 different trannys, ...ugh

Consumer Reports recently tested the Toyota Sienna minivan. Although they rank it No. 1, one of the "lows" listed is "confusing option packages".
