When I purchased my '97 CR-V, Honda offered fog lights as an accessory. I believe this accessory was dealer and not factory installed, but at the time, you were able to view and add the fog lights on Honda's "build your CR-V" website.

Here is a picture of what they look like:

Two weeks ago, a gas station car wash managed to rip one of the fog lights off my CR-V. The bumper mount is still in good shape, but the plastic mount that holds the fog light in place got destroyed. If I look at the back of the component that I now need to replace, it states the following:

Bosch
LE 1504D
LE 1508D

I have found these fog lights on a number of Honda parts websites, but they sell the entire fog light kit, which runs about $150 to $200. I only require one fog light mount to replace the one destroyed by the car wash...this is the round fog light mount with the female connector at its base that fits into the bumper mount.

I had this happen to me once before, and was able to find this same component at a cost of around $12...but that was 5 years ago, and I am not having any luck finding the component now.

I do not require the entire wiring harness and bumper mounts...just this one component...any suggestions on where I might find one...I am running up empty after numerous web searches.

Thank you.

Try hondapartsdeals.com under the honda parts there are diagrams of every part on each vehicle. It will give you the part number and you can order from them. I just bought the little door cover on the tailgate. Very good prices and fast shipping.

Thank you for the website referral, but the guides I found on their site are for more recent models.

It appears that they do carry the part I require for the '97 CR-V, but I want to confirm via the installation guide.

Where can I find installation guides for a '97 CR-V?

handaaccessories.com has the install instructions on the accessory page.

I managed to find a website that sells the '97 Honda CR-V fog lights...unfortunately, I have to purchase the entire foglight...I could not find a site that only sells the molded plastic bracket component.

I also managed to find the installation instructions for the '97 Honda CR-V fog lights...the parts inventory list on the first page lists the fog light, and the bracket that holds it in place, as one component.

Try local salvage yards or even the local Honda dealer. Talk directly to the parts department guys to see if they have any "new old stock - NOS" parts available.

All I need are the fog lights themselves. Where can I get them? The wiring harness, switch and mounting brackets are already in place. Anyone know of a parts list that can tell me what to order?

Anyone know of a parts list that can tell me what to order?I believe they have been long since discontinued...which is why I suggested salvage yards. In any event, aftermarket fog or driving lights is the way to go and you can easily wire them in to the factory wiring. That being said, good luck in scoring a factory fog light switch.
