Has anyone had their head unit out, does it have preouts for an amplifier? So dissapointed in the sound after having the nice system in the Element...

No preamp outs.

I took the factory radio out within 2 weeks of receiving the car. I didn’t think it sounded that bad, but I prefer Sirius over XM. I installed a Pioneer unit that is working out quite well. If you need advice on installing a replacement, I would be glad to help. (There’s a technique for removing the trim and each step should be done in order)

which model pioneer did you go with mdfavionics? I just left a place where i was going to get a sirius unit installed in the sun glass holder ,but they wanted way to much money,and plus they said it would have been alot of work, so now im back to plan "A" which is to buy a after market stereo that is sirius ready...i dont need the navigation since i bought a tomtom.....not sure what to do...even thinking of finding a factory stereo thats xm ready..but after buying it and getting installed i could buy a real good after market one...any suggestions?
