Help. I am some what new the world of computers. I have learned much of what I know from the kids. I would like to post a picture of our new CR-V and I see the place to do that when posting a thread. I do not understand what the URL is or how to get there. Would one of you kind souls write it out for me? I have looked everywhere I could think of in the forum search.
Thank you

What you need to do is upload your pictures to one of the many free image hosting services. For example, VillagePhotos, or ImageShack, or PhotoBucket.
Then, just post the URL.

You can post directly into your message here without going to a separate URL.
1. Click MANAGE ATTACHEMENTS in the box below the edit window. A separate Manage Attachements window will open.
2. Under "Upload File From Your Computer" click on one of the three BROWSE buttons. A separate "Choose File" window will open. It works the same way as your other Windows Applications.
3. Browse through your photo directories and file and click on a photo then click OPEN.
4. You can repeat it twice more in one window. After you have selected your 3 photos click the UPLOAD button by the bottom browse button (not the one in the URL section) I am not sure that you can upload more than 3 photos at a time. I tried it once and lost my first 3 photos and had to do it again in a separate reply.
5. If your photo files are bigger than the guidelines shown in the window, use a photo editor to resize the photos to less than the max before uploading. Save the resized photo under a new name so it doesn't mess up your original photo.
The problem with uploading from an URL is that you still have to upload the pictures to the other URL. If you already have the pictures posted at another site, that is a good way to do it. But if your only posting for this site then use the method above.

Good job!
Just remember to resize the pics to a reasonable size before posting. There actually still are some members with dial-up internet due to remote locations.

We had talked about getting a black CR-V. But with the heat here on the gulf coast white was the best color for us.
