I looked though the threads and I did not see any information on inside cleaning products. What are forum members using as a dressing on the plastic surfaces on the inside, dash, door panels and so on?

I don't have any plastic cleaners to recommend, haven't had it that long. I seem to remember something about not cleaning the interior with anything but a damp cloth, but I can't find any reference to cleaning in the owner's manual except for the seat belts. But to clean up dust--mostly from the moon roof (have you tried yours yet?) I found that a Swifer cloth does a nice quick job. My wife has all sorts of Swifer contraptions, I just use the cloth inserts.

I have been using a damp micro fiber cloth for dust, light cleaning, and windows. They work very well. I know some people like to use Armoral on their dashes and plastic but I am not a big fan. I have heard there is a cream type dressing that worked good for the interior surfaces of cars but I can not remember the name. I will look into it and let you know what I find.

I made the mistake of using Windex - while the dash was nice and clean, it streaked all of the black plastic on the doors. I wish I could find something that would make it look shiny - I don't like using Armoral because it leaves a greasy residue. I did find a WONDERFUL leather cleaner - Meguire's Gold I think - it is a spray and leaves a wonderful scent.

I use Meguiar's Quick Mist & Wipe Interior Detailer on my V and G35. It doesn't leave a nasty greasy feel. It cleans and protects. I cleaned our G35 last night and the dash, doors, etc feel so clean look great.

I highly recommend all Meguiar's products!

I used some 303 Aerospace Protectant and have been blown away (in my Element). I wiped down the doors during the last cleanup and the next day I saw this dull gray area that stood out big-time. A closer look revealed that's the spot I missed...the shiny black was everything I had hit with the 303. Lots of good reviews on it over on the EOC forum (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums) as well.

303 Aerospace Protectant

Boaters swear by it for the UV protection.

I've been washing my 07 plastic with armor all wipes then polishing with mothers brand plastic polish. Also I've used miguires tire spray for the bottom portion of plastic on the bumper. Just coat it twice let it sit there for about a minute and wipe it down with a cotton fiber cloth and it makes it shine great. But for normal cleaning I use armor all wipes on all the plastic.

A wet cloth should work my center table is so dirty though I need something strong I was thinking of using glade wipes. I don't know if they are too abrasive but I have a lot of dried up coffee with sugar so its quite nasty and sticky.

Good reading: http://www.griotsgarage.com/pdfs/DetailersHB_BW.pdf

Get rid of dust and dirt before you go to wet products. You will be glad in the long run. They make a small duster, just like used on the outside, for the interior and are great for day to day use.

Inside in this order:
dust
Vacuum
vinyl/plastic/leather cleaner and wipe down (don't worry about getting it all over)
vinyl/plastic/leather protectant and wipe down (don't worry about getting it all over)
glass cleaner off glass (obviously) and over spray areas from previous steps, spray directly onto paper towel or cloth and wipe, not on surface.

All of my detail products come from www.properautocare.com, their Blackfire interior cleaner is great. Top off with 303 aerospace. I really like their Blackfire products for both interior and exterior. Very easy to use and last a long time.

I am using this Turtle Wax ICE I think thats what its called it comes in a package with a microfiber cloth. Basically you put a dab of it on the cloth rub it on any plastic or interior part (including seat vinyl) and wipe it with the dry side of the cloth to give a uniformed look. It works pretty good and most importantly dosen't feel greasy. My only problem is it has the dumbest bottle ever it always shoots out a gallon of the stuff no matter how soft you squeeze it.
