I may have to go RAV4.
I just replaced rear rotors & pads, again, at 25K miles on my 2004 CR-V.
They lasted only 12K miles, it was last done at 13K miles.
Is anyone else suffering from dealer disappiontment, they have no idea why this is happening, but assure me it won't happen again.

Welcome!

Sorry to hear of the issue you are having. Our 04 is still on the original rear brakes at nearly 55k miles. They are about 1/2 worn.

Do you lube the sliders on the calipers when you rotate the tires? You may be having a "sticking" issue.

Do you drive with 2 feet? One on the gas and one on the brake?

Wow seems excessive I have never heard of that before is your car under warranty otherwise I recommend getting one of those aftermarket wrranty things my friends old car always broke down he bought a plan for 1200 for 2 or three years and it covers almost everything engine, tranny, breaks, everything. WHere do you drive a lot of city or highway and how much do you use the parking brake seems like yu may be getting bad parts.

Yeah, this is a real load of poo. Our '03 (bought new) had an issue w/ the rear brakes at ~50k. Driver's side outboard pad was down to the backing plate, other rears were approx 1/2 worn. Dealer (LaFontaine, Dearborn MI) was adamant that this was caused by my lack of 'inspecting the brakes at 30k' - when pressed, these inspections were supposed to involve full disassembly & cleaning of all brake components. What a load! Had the groaning diff noise - apparently, that was due to neglected maintenance too. Called Honda but they weren't helpful at all.

I've maintained this car to the letter of the schedule prescribed by the owners manual. The car gets driven ~64 HWY mi per day, just passed 100k in 4 yrs. Didn't want anything to do w/ these bozos so I replaced the pads + rotors on my own.

Are all dealers this bad? Is it normal for the service advisor to blame the owner for anything that goes wrong??? We've always had a Honda (or 2) at home. While not known for their robust brakes, this one might have just been our last (other problems too - o2 sensor, P1298 codes, seat wobbly, radio ate CDs, seat belt not retracting, fuel smell, etc)..

Are these cars really so fragile as to require this sort of attention & upkeep beyond the schedule called out by the owners manual? My EK Civic is a tank in comparison. Add fuel & drive.
