Yeah so after drivin my 03 since I purchased it, 4th of july. I have noticed that the ignition key gets hot.. Like WAY hot.. Hotter than if I had left it in the sun.
Is this normal? Im worried about electronics gettin silly and fryin somethin.

That doesn't sound good. I would take it to the dealer and have them look at it. Make sure that you have driven it for a while just before you get there and have the service advisor come over and check it while you are still there.

My key will get hot on the way home from work. After the car has sat all day in the sun, and I drive home (about 15 minutes) the key is unusually hot when I remove it from the ignition switch. When I first noticed this, I was worried about some electrical problem. But if the car is cool or after long trips the key is not hot. I believe in my case there is no problem, the key just heats up from the internal temperature of the switch and the trip is too short to cool everything down. I will say that I have never seen a key get that hot on any of my previous cars. There must be a lot of physical contact between the key and the lock mechanism.
