Sales of Honda's CR-V have soared in the first half of 2007 - and it says this is because 4x4 buyers are becoming more aware of environmental issues.
Overall sales of 4x4s fell by 4% in the first six months of 2007, but sales of the CR-V rose by 28% compared with the same period last year.
That amounts to 11,665 sales - 2579 more than in 2006.
Honda is putting much of this down to its 'Not all 4x4s are the same' campaign, in which it highlighted that the CR-V is cleaner and smaller than most other 4x4s, and even some saloons and hatchbacks, on the market.
