Is the 04 CR-V supposed to chime with headlights on?

Hi All,
This is my very first post here.
I just bought a certified 2004 CR-V on Tuesday. I noticed the my girlfriend didn't turn off the lights after we got out the car this morning. On my 94 Ford Explorer there was an annoying "chime, chime, chime chime" if you left the headlights on and you opened the door.

The CR-V didn't chime at all. It was silent. I was wondering if it is supposed to and I should take it to get repaired?
