Hi,
I'm going to buy a new V this month. Since the '08 are coming very soon and usually there may be some new incentives coming on beginning of each month. I'm just wondering if Honda have any incentives to push out the '07? My friend got burned last month when he bought his Pilot without knowing the $3500 incentives at the beginning of July. When Edmonds.com finally published it on around the 10th, it was too late. Any insights?
Thanks,
Joe

What I hear from long time Honda fans/observers is that since the V is selling so well, and will get only insignificant changes (if any) for '08, expect no incentives from Honda. On the plus side, now that '07 V's are somewhat more in supply, some dealers are dealing. We bought our EX-L several weeks ago, and I found a half dozen dealers in metro areas that would take $1200 off MSRP. Some have gotten even better deals. The ones in small towns would give me little or nothing off-maybe a lack of nearby competition-just guessing.
The Pilot and Accord are redesigned for '08, so dealers are anxious to unload the '07s, and are pricing them to sell.

Good luck at getting much more off than what mikey suggests. The V is simply selling too well right now and will probably continue at this pace as people want a small SUV with good mpg as opposed to their old Tahoe, Explorer, etc.

The "insignificant changes include the 'available power front seat and the dual air conditioning" for the USA. I read same at the "OTHER" Honda forum site from someone that hads privy to the 2008 CRV brochure.

Seems that the poster is now not sure that was a USA brochure. I will keep up to date as ossible and if I read anything i will post it as to the 2008 CRV.

According to a dealer I e-mailed to this morning, dual zone AC and driver's power passenger seat are confirmed in the newly released US brochure of the 2008 CR-V.
Here is his e-mail:
The 2008 CRV Brochure is out and available.....and it will have the 8 way power driver seat on the EXL and EXL Nav Model.....as well as the Digital Dual Zone Climate Controls....
You should be able to go to the Honda Website and print yourself a Brochure for the 08 CRV.
If you are unable to, let me know and I will send you one!

There are 2008 brochures available on Honda's site, but not for the CRV yet.

Ditto on the incentives - V's are walking of the lot at MSRP so I don't think we'll be seeing any discounts on the 07's
I shopped hard last week, I spoke with Donny at Mike Patton Honda in GA and he said if I could wait six weeks, get an 08, I'd be $2500 better off on the back end of the deal, i.e. resale.
I thought that was good advice.

Discounts are available (if you shop around), but not incentives from Honda.

I bought my 07 CR-V EXL 4wd for $300 over invoice three weeks ago. I had two dealerships (internet managers) competing against one another via emails. I got Kelly blue book trade-in value for my 03 Ford Explorer.
I went back the following week and got my wife a 07 Element LX 4wd with manual transmission for $300 under invoice. She loves her E and I love my V.

I thought that was good advice.I don't know about that. V's don't depreciate $2500 per year - if they did, a 1997 would be worth zero and I see plenty of them advertised for $5000-$7000!
ps - I would not get a 97 or 98 myself, even for the new driver in the family. They are too underpowered and have that yucky interior cloth color scheme. The 99-2001 though is a nice package though.

Hmm. Closed on July 30th. 07 EX-L NAVI AWD. MSRP $28595 inc destination fee. No hassle, what's it cost from Mistlin Honda in Modesto, California... $27039. From Stockton Honda... $26882.47. $1556 and 1712.53 off MSRP respectively. I went with Modesto (Henry was great) and it took all of 1 1/2 hours from drive in to drive off, including waiting for my ne CR-V to be washed!
