I do not like the gear shifter placement (I own a 2005 CR-V) and I constantly crack my knuckles off of it. I don't understand why Honda didn't provide the same type of shifter as the Honda Element. I know the shifter on the Element is also on the dash and I believe it's the T style short shifter.
I was wondering if anyone has modified their gear shifter???
I purchased an after market part (BestAutoParts.com) with the anticipation, but I don't want to cut the shifter if there is an alternative method. I would also like to use OEM or Honda certified parts, but when I called my dealership, they suggested going to an after market service. Hence, why I went to alternative methods.
I want to keep my vehicle safe & problem free.....
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
