View Full Version : CR-V 2007 Bluetooth and contact list.
The voice controlled handsfree mobile system in my CR-V works OK. But I sometimes need to call using the contacts stored in my phone. Is it possible to make the call using the phone, and still use the handsfree? how?
The best solution (in my opinion) would be if the contacts from the mobile could be available on the display of the Honda/Alpine navigation system. Anyone know why this isn't implemented?

I got the same problem. It looks like they discontinued with this function from 07 and onward, but it should be available since they follow the Bluetooth standard. Might we hope for a software upgrade?

I think it's all to do with safety and not touching your phone while you are driving.
Only way I can see around it is to look at the contact you want to dial and say their number into the voice recognition as you can dial a phone number through the hands free.
Just got mine yesterday and think the hands free is a little hit or miss. I've recorded around 30 voice tags and have to say them several times before it picks them up while you are driving.

Hi, just want to share info about bluetooth handsfree. I've a JVC dvd head unit and got the optional bluetooth handsfree. The good thing is the HU can store up to 5 different users/phones. I notice each phone functions differently. I was able to see contact list, missed call, redial, voice dialling, etc. on the nokia, but not with the other phone (treo 750). The good thing about the treo is it shows the battery and signal level on the HU screen. According to the manual, this bluetooth is compatible with receiving SMS too but not with my 2 phones. While doing my research on the net, I remember seeing a list of phones compatible my JVC HU so just make sure to plan ahead which phone to buy next. Good luck.

looks like you guys were installed bluetooth on Honda CRV models.
I have 2008 Honda CRV with navigation. Is there any bluetooth after market stuff that can be integrated (installed ) on the navigation /cd player ?
Please throw some light to me.
I 2nd that. Blows my mind why the 08 Navi HU doesnt have Bluetooth. I guess they are saving this for the Accord and Acura lines? Looking for a solution to this problem with out having some big bulky gadget proped up on my dash. Hell that's why i bought the Navi.

Its very hit and miss...... I assume there is no software update that actually displays the contacts on the screen?

The easy way is to dial the number from the contact list on your your phone, then as it is dialing, flick the handsfree button on the steering wheel and give the voice command...TRANSFER
