Anybody know if there's an aftermarket fuel tank with a capacity greater than 15.3 gallons available for a 2004 manual transmission CRV? Love my CRV, but after driving it for 30,000 miles, having to refuel every 350-400 miles gets a bit tedious--reminds me of swimming in a pool and having to kick and turn every 25 meters versus longer distance rough water swimmming. Struck me a little odd that the CRV would have a smaller fuel tank capacity than the 17-gallons in my 94 Accord.

Interesting idea.

I think the real time all wheel drive unit (the pumpkin) in the rear, limits the sizing of the tank somewhat.

I remember a friend of mine telling me about his Australian equivalent of the Nissan Pathfinder having an aftermarket auxilliary fuel tank option similar to a left-right tank switchable saddlebag-type system. Gave the vehicle an extended range of a couple of hundred additional miles.
