Just over a year ago when looking for a new hike I came upon this fun little road. It was pretty hardcore and i was seeing a lot of solid axle trucks on the "trail" . But the CR-V did just fine. i have made regular trips up there and its more fun every time. It is forest road 56 in Washington, if any one wants to give it a try. And yes we did get the pick up unstuck, eventually.

Alpine had a thread going a while back where he visited some off roader site and they were saying how junky CR-Vs are, that they wouldn't pull a stuck one out because they were afraid of ripping it apart. Interesting photos.

Thats funny because I have thrashed mine to hell and it was just fine, I dented the catalytic converter a few time and my ride hight bar is now a few inches higher on one side than the other. And I have taken some hard hits that i would have thought would have blown a shock or something, but its all good. It has survived death Valley floods, a trip to the arctic circle, and 19 year old world rally championship fan, I've even taken it places my dads Silverado can't go

Hey, how the hell did I miss this thread until now!
Oh well, better late than never! :D
Great pictures, I am tempted to add your photos to that thread just to revive it and see if anyone bites. ;)
