chrome swirl marks???????????

does anybody know of any products that will take swirl marks out of chrome?

I knew a guy that put chrome polish on what he thought was chrome but it was "metalized plastic"? It stripped off the outer shiny stuff and left and what remained was a white / grey junky looking plastic.

yep it's "metalized plastic" and i just ruined it. it's actually chrome pillar posts made by billet. they look real nice but i guess not easy to clean. i'm going to give them one more try just ordered another set and got proper cleaning instructions. the good news is i only ruined one of them so i'll have a whole set of extras that will sit in my garage and get old because i can't order only one of them.
