Hey guys.

To start off i am a voluenteer EMT for a local first aid squad. I am what you would call a wacker. I am looking to convert the halogen tail lights to LED's in my 2000 CRV. I am pretty sure i can do this. Once that is done, i'm going to try to put a flasher so they will flash when responding to a call, but im not sure this is possible  . The flasher would have to be over-ridden by the regular lights, so if i press the brakes, the brake lights would go on. I currently have strobes in the reverse and turning signal lights now, but I am looking to upgrade. Please give me some feedback and if anyone has a wiring diagram please let me know.

Thanks!

Mike

Why not try a Whelan Emergancy flasher unit, these are the pukka ones the cops use, and are well built and reliable :)

A colleague of mine on the club323f forum fitted one to his F and it looked great :D

Perfect for your purpose I'd think :D

Here's a link to their site :D

You most likely want the Emergency volunteer Rear window bar light, that you can see throuhg pretty much every window. They sell clear tail-lights for that gen Cr-v so you could drill extra light holes into it for some flashing LED's and white strobes alongside your headlight bulbs. Here's some links:

I believe you also are only able to use blue, since red signals a car ahead to pull over and move or stop, so I don't know what the rules are for volunteers and Medics in your state.
