Anyone know how the coin tray is held shut on a 2001 CRV? Mine has suddenly started falling open and there doesn't seem to be a spring or anything that stops this from happening.

Anyone know how the coin tray is held shut on a 2001 CRV? Mine has suddenly started falling open and there doesn't seem to be a spring or anything that stops this from happening.I just went and looked at mine. It appears that it is held up by the pressure of the side pins - the pins that hold it in place and allow it to pivot. Use a small, flat screwdriver and push in on them to allow it to come out.
part number 40 (77750-S04-G00ZB, classy gray) in this illustration, which is about $15 at your local dealer.

Thanks for the info 2RedV's.
By the way, do you know what part number 52 is, in the diagram you posted? I think I've found this lying in the footwell and I'm not sure where it came from.

#52, and others similar, are all clips that hold various panels in place. Have your dash panels been off before? Ever replace the radio, add an accessory, replace the cabin filter? All of these things would have required panel removal and maybe a clip didn't go back on properly.
