Hi This is my first post so please correct me if im in the wrong place Yesterday i became the proud owner of an se sport auto. the prob is i have never driven an automatic and i didnt get an owners manual with the car, my question is what is the O/D button on the end of the selector lever i guess it stands for overdrive and that its normal position is on (because a notification lights up saying O/D OFF) if you press it. can someone please help and advice me what its for and whats the best on or off

Generally, just forget about that button. Let the transmission decide what to do.

The OverDrive 'off' button is useful if you're pulling a trailer, or driving in mountain regions.

Enjoy your new CR-V.

Here's a link to on-line owners manuals.

Hi Bought a 2004 model and I live in Dunfermline ScotlandCool! Just leave that button alone for the most part. The transmission will default to the proper mode every time the car is started so even if you use the button to defeat the overdrive and forget to turn it back on, the next time you start the vehicle, it will do it for you.

Please take some pictures of your V with some local to you scenery featured in the background. Scotland has some absolutely beautiful scenery to share with the world!
